The mission of the Technical Support & Marketing team (13 staff) is to maximise customer satisfaction. Our customers are laboratories worldwide that use our products for diagnostics or research of genetic diseases. As their main point of contact, you help customers by answering questions and troubleshooting data. Technical Support specialists also provide vital feedback on the performance and quality of our products to Product Development and Quality Assurance. To contribute to customer success, the team is involved in developing educational and marketing materials and organising events. Each Technical Support Specialist has their own specialization and projects, which are carried out with a high level of autonomy.

 

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting, mostly by email and remote support sessions
  • Represent and communicate the customer’s point of view in cross-departmental meetings to contribute to the further improvement of MRC Holland products and services
  • Play a pivotal role in Post-Market Surveillance (PMS), the monitoring of our products after they have been placed on the market, by complaint handling and analyzing incoming feedback and reporting on the performance of our products
  • Play an active role in further improving customer experience by developing educational and marketing materials, and organizing and hosting educational and promotional events such as webinars, workshops and congresses
Qualifications
  • MSc or PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology or similar
 
Competencies
  • An inquisitive, analytical mind, that enjoys solving puzzles.
  • An ability to understand and anticipate the need of others, to see and explain things from the customers’ perspective
  • (Near) native level English in both writing and speaking. Basic knowledge of Dutch
  • Experience or affinity with next-generation sequencing (NGS) is a huge plus
  • Openness to other cultures and a sense of humour
  • Good writing, communication and presenting skills
  • Self-starter, accurate and organized way of working
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of the team

Starting salary: €4007-€4809 gross per month depending on experience. In addition, we have excellent employment conditions. At MRC Holland we have 28 holidays a year and are also closed between Christmas and New Year's Day. We have full reimbursement for travelling with public transport, an excellent pension scheme and extensive collective health insurance with reimbursement from MRC Holland. Finally, you will receive a reimbursement of max. €25 per month on your sports subscription, and you can participate weekly in one of our in-house yoga classes or Dutch classes.
